Appointments

Appointments are available by advance booking. Walk-ins are welcome when availability permits. Please arrive 5 minutes early, or 10 minutes early for your first visit to complete any required forms.

Late Arrival

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to keep later appointments on schedule. The full booked service price may still apply.

Cancellation Policy

Please give at least 3 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 3 hours’ notice and missed appointments may be charged up to the full booked service price, according to the terms disclosed and accepted when booking.

Payment

Payment is due when booking if prepayment is required; otherwise, it is due after your session. Please confirm available payment methods at checkout. The price shown when you book applies to that appointment.

Gift Certificates

• Purchased gift certificates do not expire. They are redeemable for services, and remaining cash value under $15 may be redeemed in cash as required by California law. Any terms for a free promotional certificate will be stated with that offer.

Packages & Memberships

• Price, benefits, validity period, sharing rules, and refund terms are provided before purchase. They cannot be combined with other promotions unless the offer says otherwise. Applicable consumer rights remain in effect.

Please tell your massage therapist before your appointment about any health condition or recent change that could affect your session, including:

• Recent surgery or injury
• Pregnancy
• Fever, contagious illness, or skin infection
• Allergies, especially to oils or other massage products
• High blood pressure, a heart condition, diabetes, or osteoporosis
• Current cancer treatment
• Any condition for which your healthcare provider has advised precautions with massage

Your session may be adjusted or rescheduled based on the information you share. If you have a fever or contagious illness, please contact us to reschedule. Massage therapy does not diagnose or treat medical conditions and is not a substitute for medical care. American Massage Therapy Association

Serene Thara Bodywork provides professional massage services only. Sexual comments or requests, inappropriate touching, harassment, threatening or abusive language, and requests for illegal services are not permitted.

Serene Thara Bodywork may decline, modify, or stop a massage session when:

• The therapist believes the session cannot be provided safely
• A client appears impaired by alcohol or drugs
• A client violates professional boundaries
• A client behaves in a threatening, harassing, or abusive manner
• The requested service is outside the therapist’s professional scope

Serene Thara Bodywork respects your privacy. We use the information you provide to manage appointments, communicate with you, process payments, and tailor massage sessions to your needs. Health information you share with your therapist is used to help plan a safe session and is disclosed only when needed to provide services or as required by law. Please keep valuables with you. Serene Thara Bodywork is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete all required consent forms. A parent or guardian may be required to remain on the premises during the appointment.

Please reschedule your appointment if you have:

• Fever
• Flu symptoms
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Contagious illness
• COVID-19 or another communicable respiratory illness

This policy helps protect all clients and staff.

Massage therapy:

• Promotes relaxation
• May reduce muscle tension
• May improve circulation
• Supports general wellness

Massage therapy does not diagnose illness or replace medical treatment. Always consult your physician regarding medical conditions.

Serene Thara Bodywork collects information that you voluntarily provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, and appointment details, to schedule services, communicate with you, and improve your experience.

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only with trusted service providers necessary to operate our business or when required by law.
